SAN FRANCISCO - Twitter on Wednesday moved deeper into video, announcing a new application that will offer free content on major streaming TV services. Twitter announced it will bring "live streaming video experience to life on the TV screen", by partnering with Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Xbox One, and othersThe new app for Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Microsoft's Xbox One will allow anyone with these devices to get content from Twitter's media partners. Users can also view Twitter content such as top tweets or videos using the Vine or Periscope applications. The app will allow viewing regardless of whether the user has a Twitter account or a pay TV subscription, Twitter said. "These devices will bring Twitter's live streaming video experience to life on the TV screen," said Anthony Noto, chief financial officer at Twitter.
